Las Baklavas

Neo-trad

Las Baklavas is a committed group that draws its essence from the sounds of the Balkans and Latin America. These colors, combined with the pop-feminism of their compositions, blend to create a texture where traditional and contemporary music coexist with each other and each other's worlds.

On stage, 6 musicians create a space-time fusion of acoustic & electronic instruments, raps, polyphonies and influences ranging from jazz to techno.

Through reinterpretation, they expose the strong, creative energy of women in traditional music. In contrast to the diminished and passive representation of women in the original texts, they reveal liberated lyrics that assert their identity, place and rights.

All united in a lively and festive energy, they invite the audience to question and immerse themselves in this warm atmosphere of collective and empowerment.
