Synestet

Jazz

Synestet appeals to the senses, expressing, playing and improvising; the perception of music becomes a blend of colors, smells, shapes and textures.

Five musicians, crazy about improvisation and thirsting for musical expression, weave their way between the lines to form a homogeneous, improvised sound bubble. A rock electric guitar with volatile effects, drums that are at times colorist, at times orchestra conductor, melodies to sing where saxophone, clarinet and double bass merge into a single voice. Initiated by clarinettist Hélène Duret, this unprecedented encounter offers open music that advocates simplicity and inventiveness. A cross between Ornette Coleman, Jimmy Giuffre, Duke Ellington, Jakob Bro and Timber Timbre.
